A good week again, up just under a percent, continuing a steady stream of small gains.
I wanted to rebalance the portfolio on Friday, but couldn’t get away from work, so I didn’t. I’m going to have to rebalance on Monday. Normally, this wouldn’t make much of a difference. But the way the markets look tonight, I likely got lucky. This was nothing more than luck though. The strategy should be evaluated as if it was rebalanced on Friday so I will report it that way next week.
I will update this post when I do rebalance tomorrow but for now, on February 21st, 2020, the strategy should have rebalanced to:
60% SPY , 32% TLT , 8% GLD
Update 2/24/20: Rebalanced to 48% SPY , 40% TLT , 12% GLD mid day.
Very very interesting. The Permanent Portfolio idea has shone in this play out!
